Question Answer Relationship (QAR) is a great technique for encouraging and improving reading comprehension with students. http://www.readingrockets.org/strategies/question_answer_relationship The resource includes 3 clips for students to watch and QAR themed questions for each clip. The clips include: -the story of the 12 Chinese Zodiac -Chinese New Year fable – Nian -a story about the Lantern Festival The resource also includes a web-quest including 9 questions with extension activities (web game and mini art project).
